On the third Sunday of each month between March and October we hold a Steaming Event during which we raise steam and run the belt driven machinery.

Volunteers demonstrate all the crafts and skills that were once performed at Combe Mill and the blacksmith's forge is lit and you can have a go at making a poker.

Model Engineering at the Mill

Come along and experience the power of steam and water.  Enjoy seeing engineering models at their best and through them explore engineering principles at work in all aspects of this restored sawmill and workshop. This hands-on museum takes pride in making you think and learn through trying your hand at making things and seeing how machinery works. Country Crafts and Skills at the Mill

Enjoy our displays of country skills and crafts at this steam and water-powered sawmill and workshop.  Our working historic clock collection is also well worth seeing.  Plus other special displays of basket making, logging, spinning and weaving and much more.  Millie-the-mill-cat trail for the children.  All steam and water powered machinery will also be working.

Woodcrafts at Combe

Come and see an interesting range of demonstrations of wood craft.  There will be demonstrations by hurdle makers, chair makers and pole lathers, together with hands-on things for you to try working with wood. Charlbury Morris will perform in the afternoon.

All our machinery will also be working and the usual activities will be available in the tinkering area. There is a Millie-the-mill-cat trail for the children.
